About The Founder

Shivi.png

Shivi Srikanth, a senior at North Reading High School, in Massachusetts USA, has always been passionate about inventing and building new things. She created a "roll-on" hand sanitizer when she was in 5th grade, making it easy for people to roll it on, like a chapstick or lip balm. She purchased the materials and manufactured several different fragrances right at home. Shivi then advertised and sold the handy item to friends, family, neighbors and people in her community. She raised $1200 dollars through these sales which she donated to Boston Children's Hospital. Thus began her passion for 'thinking out the box'.

Shivi co-founded and is co-captain of her town's First Tech Robotics team, Hi-Tech Hornets. Their team has qualified twice for the States championship and has won numerous awards, including the Collins Aerospace Innovate Award and Motivate Award. She mentors the junior robotics FIRST Challenge team and has helped organize and run “Bot In A Box” programs for over 40 elementary school children.

Shivi is also an accomplished singer/songwriter, who has performed at various prestigious venues both as a solo artist and with a touring band All You Got Tour. She has won numerous awards and taught music to youth during COVID as a way of giving back to her community. Shivi is a talented junior Olympic softball player and an avid writer and poet. Her work has been published in magazines and newspapers.

Shivi is passionate about social justice and making impactful change. She is the President of her town's North Reading Youth For Antiracism (NRY4A) and was an intern with MassHousing during the summer of 2020, where she worked in the Community Services Department to bring awareness and solve problems related to racial and economic disparities in health and housing.

Shivi was named one of Boston Business Journal's "25 Under 25" in 2021 for her work with WEInnov8.
